Why does your website need maintenance?
A website, much like any technologically-powered system, requires constant maintenance to be at its best. At 80five we create unforgettable websites. They can only continue to be unforgettable if they are carefully maintained on a regular basis.
Around 200 million websites are actively maintained. The stats show that well-maintained websites get around 40% more traffic than those without such support.
Just like a car requires an annual service and MOT, your website needs to be checked, tweaked and improved if you want to get the most from it.
How 80five can help
We have a wealth of experience when it comes to maintaining websites. From WordPress websites to custom platforms, we have knowledge of support for a wide range of business websites.
What sets us apart is the way that we can combine our website monitoring data to drive the maintenance we deliver to be as specific as possible.
In short, we use UpWatch to provide comprehensive website monitoring. As part of the monitoring, we extract data about the health of the website, its loading time and so much more. We can then take this data and use it to guide our maintenance.
No more box-ticking maintenance packages!
What are the 10 website maintenance services?
Here’s how our expert team ensures your website stays in peak condition:
1. Site health reporting
The Site Health Report from UpWatch begins the maintenance process. It outlines everything we need to know about the current health of your website and any areas of improvement.
2. Performance optimisation
Both as part of the Site Health Report and the page speed monitoring, we can utilise the data to make any adjustments if the page speed drops. From image optimisations to page layout tweaks, we can boost any drop in performance.
3. SEO tune-up
The Site Health Report highlights on-page optimisation improvements. From fixing heading structure to compressing images, updating alt text, or internal linking.
4. Link scanning
We will run regular scans of the entire website to look for any broken links. We can also help you understand the internal and external links to and from the website.
5. Security monitoring
An assessment can be made of the security of the website. Plus, if you choose a higher tier with UpWatch, we can check your domain for any blacklisting or other security risks.
6. Form testing
If your website uses a contact form, the last thing you'd want is for the form to be broken! We can run regular tests to ensure the form works and the outcome ends in your inbox.
7. Content updates
We can do up to an hour of content updates per month. This could improve by adding new website text, publishing a new blog post or updating images.
8. Traffic reporting
If you provide us with access to your Google Analytics account, we can provide a one-page report on any traffic trends. Plus, you can also connect Microsoft Clarity and get reports on what people do when they visit your website - where they click and when they leave.
9. Accessibility auditing
It is vitally important that your website works for every website visitor. We can run regular checks for any issues that might affect your website's accessibility and make amendments.
10. Keyword reporting
With a higher tier of UpWatch, we can track your website's keywords and let you know how you are performing.
How frequently are these services undertaken?
All of our website maintenance runs over a monthly period. That means that over the course of a month, we will spend a bit of time every week looking at links, performance, security, and so on. Over the course of an entire month, we will have applied lots of incremental improvements.
What would it cost?
The cost starts with choosing your UpWatch plan. We have three to choose from - £5 per month, £10 per month and £15 per month. You can read more about what each priced package provides.
Then, it depends on the size and scale of your website. We would provide maintenance from £50 per month for a smaller website and going upwards from there.
We cannot provide an outline of the cost, as there are too many factors and we want to provide a best-fit package rather than a standard one.
